CAMBOURNE TO CAMBRIDGE – OFF ROAD BUS ROUTE TIMES
Locally the proposed Cambourne to Cambridge dedicated bus route will pass through the Bourn Airfield development and then run alongside the A428 before linking again with the road network in Cambridge. The estimate for journey times is a reduction of 23 minutes at peak times – whilst also providing improved walking and cycling links, with a cycle lane running the length of the dedicated route.

As well as its ambitions for the Oxford – Cambridge Arc – the Government has also committed to the funding of the East West Rail, which will provide a direct rail link between Cambridge and Oxford. Beyond this, the government has also committed to ‘The Expressway’ – a new fast road link across the Arc.
